Podcasting, it’s like making video – without the images.
One of my hobbies is making web sites and small media projects. One of these is Steep Magazine, and I’m learning podcasting as part of the project.
For recording, I settled on Cast, a brilliant double-ended, web-based audio recorder and editor. It’s better than Skype which records the guest track in a compressed and often fault-laden track or trying to get people to record a track on their phones and email it me.
I then edit the track in Adobe Audition, a powerful application that can strip out hum, background noise and makes little things like EQ and balance easy.
I then reply the file via the Cast servers and distribute by iTunes and Stitcher.
Here’s an episode – hope you like it!
